I’ve installed some version of Carplay in my last 6 cars, but this is only my 2nd internal box style. My first one was 4 years ago in my 2016 Q5 and it was a disaster from the start. This one is totally different. It plugs in super fast and works like it’s supposed to. No issues. I love it so far. 2016 A4

Its quite nice and for a really good price. The install at the shop went seamlessly and the unit works nicely for my C300 Mercedes. Im very satisfied with the unit overall. Just getting used to using it now.

This conversation kit works very well. Since my car isn’t touch screen it takes some used to using the scroll knobs. I used an audio service to install the kit which cost an extra fee.

Installed on my 2011 A4 Avant prestige.
Easiest install ever, just make sure you order the little key tool separately to remove the MMI unit.
Otherwise the install took less than an hour. Instructions were perfect and everything was plug and play. Works seamlessly with the OEM Audi controls on the console and steering wheel.
Also very nice to get precise audio EQ control through the unit that Audi doesn’t provide from factory.

Installation is not easy at all but the product works great and is half the price of similar items on the market. The device is quick and works really well. But have to emphasize how tough it is to install and that you have to pay attention to the instructions closely or your unit won’t function properly, had to spend 2 hours troubleshooting it.

So excited to purchase the toyota retrofit kit carplay. I have an external unit but always wanted to use carplay features with my car radio. This kit will provide that service. Easy to install by my mechanic but I could have possibly installed it myself since it is plug and play. All features work great and it is very nice to finally view carplay on my car radio screen. A great product to own.
